"What a fast pace world we live in"

These words seem truer today than they did just 5 weeks ago. Even in my own home and workplace, things are moving and changing quickly, daily even hourly. This quick change and pace can be looked at as both exciting and terrifying and I want to introduce you to something exciting we will be doing here at MBC.

With social distancing and rules in place to stay home, we want to bring our Spring Women of Grace retreat right to you in your home on Saturday June 6, 2020 between the hours of 10am and 3:00pm.  We will have a lunch break from 11-1:00, enough time to have lunch and if you have little ones, put them to bed.

Our Virtual Women of Grace Spring Retreat will be available online at no cost to you. We have Linda Reed from Heritage College and Seminary teaching us on ‘Be Still and Know – to know God in his strengthening power’. We will have an interactive teaching session with Sandra Loewen from Precept Ministries “How to study the Bible for yourself" and a zoom prayer meeting where you can meet with a group of up to 7 other women to pray.

Once you have registered we will continue to communicate with you as to how you will be able to connect live and interactively. I look forward to this unique and new opportunity for us to be together.

Linda Reed loves the Word of God and loves the world for God.  Digging into God’s Word deeply with coloured pencils or a commentary is a pleasure (especially when we have so much time!).  Dr. Reed teaches at Heritage College and Seminary and also teaches English to internationals.  She has three grown children, and two grandchildren.  Recently, to pass the quiet hours, Linda is finishing a quilt she’d started 22 years ago in California. Join us as we look at Knowing God in the Stillness.

Sandra’s love for God’s Word began 20 years ago, when she was first introduced to Precept Bible studies. Since then, the Lord has given her a passion to equip women in studying the Word. Born an east-coaster, Sandra has made her home in Ottawa, ON with her husband, Richard. Together they have two grown daughters, one son-in-law, and her first granddaughter Ella, who is adored by all! Sandra is a Precept Trainer and teaches and trains people to study the Bible inductively across Canada. So thankful for this opportunity to study the Word together in June!

Check out what Janet had to say about us on Google.

“The Women of Grace retreat at MBC is excellent.  The speakers are entertaining and challenge our faith; the food is wonderful;  the scenery is gorgeous.  One woman at this last retreat said she had come 36 years. It's that good.”
