Experiencing God’s presence together

Trinity House of Hope, Toronto
By Camila Silva Campos

Our church, Trinity House of Hope, recently returned to Muskoka Bible Centre for our annual family retreat. For over eight years, we have been blessed to gather at MBC, and each visit has been an even greater experience than the last.

Every time we arrive, we are in awe of the beauty around us and blown away by God’s creation in such a peaceful setting. From the very beginning of the planning process with Laura to the warm welcome and care we receive from staff throughout our stay, our experience at MBC has always been positive and memorable.

For many of us, MBC has become part of our family’s story. Some of our families have been attending for years, even before having children, and now get to share the tradition with them. Our kids look forward to it all year long, and truthfully, there are often tears when it’s time to leave! New families who join us always share glowing feedback, commenting on the breathtaking scenery, the beautifully maintained gardens and flowers, the delicious food, the thoughtful organization, the cleanliness and the wide range of activities.

But above all, what makes our time at MBC truly special is the peace we feel. It’s not just the stillness of the grounds, but the unmistakable presence of God. We know that MBC is a place dedicated to serving the Lord, and it’s evident in the way every detail is handled and in the way guests are cared for.

We pray that our church will continue to have the opportunity to return to MBC each year. These retreats are precious times of slowing down, reflecting and drawing nearer to Jesus alongside our families and church community.

We are deeply grateful to every staff member for their hard work and dedication in making MBC such a blessing. Thank you for giving us a place to pause, to connect and to be present with God and with one another.

May God continue to bless the ministry of MBC and all who serve there and may every guest who visits experience a closer encounter with Jesus.
