What is a group rental retreat?
A group rental retreat is a chance for you to bring your group to Muskoka Bible Centre for an experience designed specifically for your group’s requirements. MBC provides top accommodation options, fabulous dining service, meeting spaces, and recreational options in a beautiful Muskoka setting. Our Group Rentals Coordinators can help you organize your group’s best experience ever!

Meals at MBC
MBC is known for delicious home cooking and fresh baking! Our chef will create a menu of delicious meals while factoring in special diet requirements. Let us look after the details while you simply enjoy the food and scenic view of Mary Lake from our Dining Room that can host up to 185 people at a time.

Allergies & Dietary Restrictions
Muskoka Bible Centre wishes every experience to be delectable, especially our meals. Prior to arrival we will request your group’s dietary restrictions and food allergies for everyone to have a tasty experience. We are not a nut-free facility. Please ask our Dining Room Team before entering the buffet what items on the menu are prudent to your needs. We can accommodate gluten free, dairy free, vegan, specific food allergies and more.
Dining Room
More than one group onsite can be eating in the Dining Room at the same time. Our Dining Room has a capacity of 185 people at one time.
We offer both options to eat buffet-style or to sit down and receive plate service.
Meeting Spaces at MBC
We have a wide variety of meeting spaces to meet your group’s needs, with flexible seating layouts for up to 450 guests.
The Fellowship Centre
A versatile space, with a large gym and two meeting rooms. The gym can be configured to suit many different purposes.
Lakeside Meeting Room
A private meeting space with seating for up to 56.
The Chapel
Our largest gathering place, with a maximum capacity of 450.
Founders Hall
A classroom space and casual common areas. The classroom has a maximum capacity of 100.
Housekeeping at MBC
All accommodations (excluding Founders Hall) come with linens. Linens are defined as bedding, body towels, hand towels and face towels. Soap, shampoo and hand cream are also available. Bedding includes a fitted sheet, cover sheet, blanket and a pillow in a pillow case. All accommodations (excluding Founders Hall) come with a mini fridge and Keurig coffee maker in each room. To encourage guest connection, we do not provide TVs in the rooms.
Technology at MBC
MBC’s meeting spaces are equipped with all the needed audiovisual and sound equipment perfect for general sessions, concerts, worship events and conferences. For breakouts and teaching sessions, many of our meeting spaces come with audiovisual and sound equipment to make presenting easier.
Our group coordinators will work with you to ensure you have just what you need to be truly successful.
Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the conference centre apart from our beach area.

Meeting Room Audio, Visual and Lighting
Standard Complimentary A/V Package:
2 mics/stands, 2 music stands, a sound system with projector and screen or display TV (with HDMI connection).
Additionally, we also offer the following services/rentals:
- Keyboard Rental: $60 + HST
- Drum Rental, includes set up and tear down: $130 + HST
Chapel Rentals ONLY
Tier 1 - Standard Complimentary A/V Package
2 mics/stands, 2 music stands, a sound system with projector and screen (with HDMI connection).
Tier 2 - Advanced A/V System
If you are using the Chapel and have a proficient A/V Technician this system would be setup at the back of the Chapel at a fixed rate of $275 + HST, which includes the following:
- 2 x JBL Eon15 powered speakers (full range speaker with 15″ woofer and horn 300watts rms) – This will be connected and ready upon arrival.
- 1 x JBL618S Powered 18″ Subwoofer 500 watts rms.
Behringer PMP6000 mixing board. - 16 Channel snake (Group is welcome to bring another 16 channel snake to make 32 channels).
- 2 x mics, boom stands, music stands.
Lighting board to tap into some of the house lights.
Tier 3 - Full Audio Visual Lighting Service
We recommend that our groups over 100 people in the Chapel take advantage of what the space has to offer with regards to our two projectors with screens, extra lighting and sound options with our AVL Specialist, overseeing your audio, visual and lighting needs. The cost for this service is $50 per hour + HST. A weekend group can have anywhere from 15-30 hours during their stay. To help save on cost, our AV team can connect with your group via email and telephone to best prepare prior to arrival.
Recreation at MBC
Your group will enjoy the many indoor and outdoor amenities that MBC offers. In the warmer months we have everything from an inviting sandy beach to tennis and mini-golf. In the cooler season, enjoy games by the fire, snow tubing down the hill, games in our indoor gym or snowshoeing around the beautiful grounds.

Please note that activities during the fall and spring are weather-dependent. We keep a close eye on the weather conditions and react accordingly to make sure that everyone stays safe.
What kinds of groups can come to a Group Rental retreat?
We have a wide variety of groups coming in all sizes and ages. Churches come in groups with their families, leadership, small groups and youth groups. Businesses join us for corporate retreats. Not-for-profit groups come to MBC for strategic planning. Families choose MBC for their family reunions. High schools, colleges and universities come for extra-curricular programming.
When are the check-in and check-out times?
Our accommodation check-in time is 4:00pm. Our check-out time is no later than 11:00am on the day you are leaving. Please return your keys to the Lodge Reception.
Would we be sharing the Dining Room?
Depending upon your group’s size, yes, you would be sharing the Dining Room with other guests on site, but tables will be assigned per group.
Is MBC accessible?

What is the weather like?
Environment Canada is the best website for more accurate weather forecasts or the Weather Network app.
We do encourage guests to dress in layers as the weather changes. Many groups prefer enjoying the outdoors in our Sports Zone in the Spring and Fall.
Should you require additional blankets in your room, feel free to reach out to your Duty Manager during your stay.
In the spring and fall months, we have complimentary umbrellas available in stands located in our Lodge Lobby to borrow during your stay with us should you require them.
What are MBC's policies and guidelines?
MBC is a smoke, vape, alcohol and pet free site.
Out of consideration for our neighbours, our quiet hours begin after 11 PM.
Indoor shoes are required while using the Gymnasium.
