Support the mission of Widjiitiwin

With the relaunch of the Widjiitiwin program, we are eager to create a space of welcome for youth and their families from all backgrounds and socio-economic situations.

This year, we will be bringing over 350 youth from five different inner-city communities to enjoy camp and experience Christ’s transforming hope, joy and belonging. We will also be relaunching Widjiitiwin’s Skills and Leadership Training (SALT) program for youth ages 14-17.

Moving forward we hope the Widjiitiwin program will be a year-round program where we continue to partner with community leaders to bring families up to enjoy MBC’s amenities, Bible teaching and fellowship with believers.

MBC has invested effort and finances over the past year to improve the Widjiitiwin facilities including renovating the washrooms in both ends of the camp. We are planning for exceptional training and support for staff and a transformative program for youth who attend the camp, including partnering with Victory Valley Farm to provide Equine Therapy for youth who are struggling with their mental health.

With this vision, we need your financial help. We need to remove financial barriers that would keep youth and their families from coming to camp. As we plan to not only improve the facility so that it is a safe, healthy, welcoming space, we also plan to subsidize the cost of our Widjiitiwin program so that every youth has opportunity to participate.

Please consider supporting this worthy kingdom investment by becoming a monthly financial partner or by gifting the Widjiitiwin program with a one-time financial gift.

Many youths lives have been transformed through this ministry and we are excited to see all that God has in store for the youth that come to Camp Widjiitiwin this summer and in the years to come! Thank you for your donation!

Send a Child to Camp

The reality of camp ministry is expensive. In 2023, the cost to send a single person to camp is approximately $900. Many of the kids and youth who will attend the Widjiitiwin program this summer cannot cover this costs. To support the growth of these youth, MBC and our partner communities work to provide a life-changing camp experience. Our partner communities strive to fund half of the cost of a camp experience through camp fees and fundraising. Muskoka Bible Centre, through our foundation, covers the rest.

We are eager to see all children and youth have the opportunity to experience camp. Your gift to Muskoka Bible Foundation supports the healthy development of a camper, and by covering the full cost of sending a child to camp, you reduce the burden for our partner communities as well.

Whether you choose to give $75 per month or a one-time donation of $900, sending a child to camp is one of the most life-changing decisions you can make. Many families or groups of friends get together to “sponsor a child” at Widjiitiwin, and any amount helps.

You can also etransfer a donation to donate@muskokabible.com and indicate in the notes that you would like it to be sent toward the Widjiitiwin ministry.

Designated Donation Policy

We will gladly issue receipts for donations designated for projects that have been approved by the leadership of MBF and received within the timeline of the project. If donations are designated to non-approved projects, the donor will be contacted as to whether they wish to redirect the gift or have it returned. Each restricted contribution designated towards an approved project will be used as designated, with the understanding that when the need for such a project has been met, or cannot be completed for any reason, the remaining restricted contributions will be used where needed most for other approved projects.
