Support the mission of Widjiitiwin

Through the Widjiitiwin program, we are eager to create a space of welcome for youth and their families from all backgrounds and socio-economic situations.

This year, we will be bringing over 350 youth from six different inner-city communities to enjoy camp and experience Christ’s transforming hope, joy and belonging. We will also be hosting Widjiitiwin’s Skills and Leadership Training (SALT) program for youth ages 14-16 again as well as launching a “NEW” leadership program, called LITE which stands for Leaders in Training Experience. This program is also for ages 14-16, but will be a lighter version of SALT, for example it’s 2 weeks long rather than the 4-week program that SALT is.

Moving forward we hope the Widjiitiwin program will be a year-round program where we continue to partner with community leaders to bring families up to enjoy MBC’s amenities, Bible teaching and fellowship with believers.

This past May we launched our first Widjiitiwin retreat, where we partnered with our MBC Retreats Coordinator and Young Parents, Youth Unlimited, GTA. For many of the young moms who came to the reterat this was their first time away from the city and an amazing opprotunity to find spiritual refreshment in the midst of a busy life stage. We are already planning for this retreat again this year!

MBC has invested effort and finance over the past couple of years to improve the Widjiitiwin facilities, including renovating the washrooms at both ends of the camp. We have created an exceptional training plan and support for staff and a transformative program for youth who attend the camp, including partnering with Victory Valley Farm to provide Equine Therapy or a farm experience to youth who wouldn’t otherwise have this opportunity.

With this vision, we need your financial help. We need to remove financial barriers that would keep youth and their families from coming to camp. As we plan to not only improve the facility so that it is a safe, healthy, welcoming space, we also plan to subsidize the cost of our Widjiitiwin program so that every youth has opportunity to participate.

Please consider supporting this worthy kingdom investment by becoming a monthly financial partner or by gifting the Widjiitiwin program with a one-time financial gift.

Many youths lives have been transformed through this ministry and we are excited to see all that God has in store for the youth that come to Camp Widjiitiwin this summer and in the years to come! Thank you for your donation!

Send a Child to Camp

The reality of camp ministry is expensive. In 2025, the cost to send a single person to camp is approximately $925. Many of the kids and youth who will attend the Widjiitiwin program this summer cannot cover this costs. To support the growth of these youth, MBC and our partner communities work to provide a life-changing camp experience. Our partner communities strive to fund half of the cost of a camp experience through camp fees and fundraising. Muskoka Bible Centre, through our foundation, covers the rest.

We are eager to see all children and youth have the opportunity to experience camp. Your gift to Muskoka Bible Foundation supports the healthy development of a camper, and by covering the full cost of sending a child to camp, you reduce the burden for our partner communities as well.

Whether you choose to give $75 per month or a one-time donation of $940, sending a child to camp is one of the most life-changing decisions you can make. Many families or groups of friends get together to “sponsor a child” at Widjiitiwin, and any amount helps.
