Family Fusion Chosen
March 13-16, 2026
A Weekend at Muskoka Bible Centre
Family Fusion: Chosen is a weekend retreat for foster and adoptive families walking the sacred and complex journey of loving children from hard places. Together, we will explore belonging, healing, and hope as we reflect on God’s heart for adoption and family.
Through Scripture, teaching, and shared stories, this weekend offers space to rest, learn, and be reminded that you are chosen—and you are not alone.
Session 1: The Beauty of Belonging
Through the story of Ruth, we’ll reflect on God’s kindness and the gift of belonging in the family of God—celebrating adoption, provision, and redemption.
Session 2: Understanding Generational Trauma
Learn how trauma impacts children and families, and how foster and adoptive parents can stand with their children—teaming up against the trauma, not the child.
Session 3: Building a Home on the Rock
Discover practical tools for fostering secure attachment using Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), creating safe, connected, and resilient homes.
Session 4: Finding Authentic Resilience
Explore compassion fatigue, authentic resilience, and Christ-centred rhythms that sustain caregivers and children alike.
Session 5: Panel Discussion – Stories of Hope
Be encouraged by real stories of God’s faithfulness in fostering and adoption.
Session 6: Traditions That Shape Us
An interactive session for the whole family exploring meaningful traditions that build identity, belonging, and connection.
