Each year, Muskoka Bible Centre offers full-time vocational ministry leaders (pastors, missionaries, camp directors, etc.) the opportunity to come away for a time of rest and reflection.

These Respite Retreats are designed to give our community of leaders an opportunity to enjoy our MBC amenities in a peaceful environment. Your retreat could be solo (by yourself), or could involve a spouse, family members or even an accompanying elder or team member.

In order to serve you well, here are the “conditions of registration” for our Ministry Leader Respite Retreats:

  • Retreats are available during the non-summer season (September to June) based on availability. We book these retreats no more than three months from the date of the retreat.
  • We offer a two night complimentary mid-week stay in our most appropriate accommodation (ie: Premium Suites / or Summerset Units).  If you would like to stay longer than two nights, you are welcome to pay the accommodation rate at a 20% discount.
  • Leaders are welcome to check-in anytime after 4:00pm on the first day of their retreat and check-out by 11:00am on the last day.
  • Meals are not offered as a part of the retreat, but some of these accommodations are equipped with a kitchenette or full size kitchen which serves most needs. If other groups are on-site at MBC during a respite retreat and meals are being served in the Dining Room, leaders may have the opportunity to book in for those meals at a 20% discount. Meal schedule and dietary options are dependent on guest group needs, so may not always be available during respite retreats, even if other guests are on-site.
