Women’s Getaway | Spring 2026

Sometimes as women we might feel depleted and in need of some encouragement, even a few moments to just catch our breath while we are ministered to. The Women’s Getaway Spring Retreat is designed for women of all ages. Spend some quality time at our spectacular resort facilities set on beautiful Mary Lake just outside of Huntsville, Ontario. There are plenty of opportunities to unwind and connect with God and girlfriends.

Trillia Newbell is the author of the kids’ books Creative God, Colorful Us and God’s Very Good Idea, a Bible study on Hebrews 11, A Great Cloud of Witnesses, and a Bible study on Romans 8, If God Is For Us, as well as the books Sacred Endurance: Finding Grace and Strength for a Lasting Faith, Enjoy: Finding the Freedom to Delight Daily in God’s Good Gifts (2016),  Fear and Faith: Finding the Peace Your Heart Craves (2015) and United: Captured by God’s Vision for Diversity (2014). Her writings on issues of faith, family, and diversity have been published in the Knoxville News-Sentinel, Desiring God, True Woman, Christianity Today, The Gospel Coalition, and more. She was also a commentator for World Radio (a sister platform for World Magazine). She has spoken at numerous conferences, churches, women’s retreats, colleges and seminaries, including True Woman, The Gospel Coalition Women’s conference, Southeastern Theological Seminary, and more. She spent seven years serving as the Director of Community Outreach for the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission for the Southern Baptist Convention. She is currently the Acquisitions Director for Moody Publishers. Her greatest love besides God is her family. She is married to her best friend and love, Thern. Over the years, I was never the type to attend a women’s conference. After attending this one, I am already looking at your future schedule to see what is happening at MBC for women. Thank you for all you do for families!

Thank you for always being the best place to go to within 2 hours of my home. I always enjoy everything about it. This year I enjoyed the chipmunks! I know you have no control over the wildlife but that is one of the things that I enjoy also. Everything is always topnotch and the staff are also. I love that place, the staff and the people that I meet when I go there.

It is so refreshing to have the opportunity to spend the weekend with Christian ladies learning, singing, worshipping, sharing, and laughing together
