Responsibilities

This person will serve on the Camp Widjiitiwin Leadership Team. Their role will be managing and overseeing the Camp Widjiitiwin SALT (Skills and Leadership Training) Program. The role is suitable for a spiritually mature individual who has experience in staff and camper supervision and management. This person will be a servant leader and set and example amongst the Camp Widjiitiwin staff team in this. This role will include organizing, scheduling and implementing a 4- week SALT program in partnership with the Stepping Stones leaders. Interacting and directing parental requests/concerns; working with marginalized youth, special needs experience and managing any emergency or crisis within the Camp Widjiitiwin SALT Program context. This role will organize all our trips & service days. Strong communication skills will be needed as well as a strong ability to follow camp philosophies, rules, guidelines and policies. Experience: Strong personal spiritual vitality and commitment to Jesus Christ, 2+ years of administrative experience, 2+ years working with youth, camp ministry, etc., excellent organizational skills, adept at technology, team player with strong initiative, leadership – planning, oversight of programming, etc. ORCKA cert. preferred, lifeguard certification preferred, and climbing certification an asset. Standard First Aid & CPR is an asset.
